Variable Capacitance

A varactor is a device with a variable capacitance, a common need in a variety of electronic applications.

By applying a DC voltage, the fingers in the NIMBle structures will bend thus changing the distance and the capacitive coupling between the finger structures. Varactors tested at NEMS AB show potentially very attractive dynamic ranges, coupled with versatility in production.
